I've been doing this but I use the clear packing tape. It's very slippery and a little wider.

I figured out the raised lip being a problem a long time ago. I use to use tape, works fine. DH tinkered with my cabinet so the machine sits perfectly even now.

Wonderful ideas! I'm going to try them today. The greatest ideas are the simple ones. I never thought of this an I've had the same problems for about 100 years!!
