Default A little more info on Hancocks

I found this blog that details a little more info on the Hancock closing process.

Interesting articles about the process of bankruptcy. I disagree with her on leaving Hobby Lobby out. I prefer shopping at Hobby Lobby since the quality of fabric is much better but selection is not as great.

I don't pretend to understand bankruptcy procedures, so this article explained a few things to me.

I was in the store in Lakeland Florida mid February and the auditors were in, counting ever item of stock.

I did that for awhile. Being at the store at as early as 3:00a.m. or going in at midnight was awful. Did it at a couple major stores like Dillard's, Macy's, etc. Pain.

So I guess the auditors are working for the liquidators. From what I could understand, the real Hancocks is out of it now. It is all the liquidators?

If you are referring to the "real Hancock's" in Paducah, I don't believe they have ever been associated with the current Hancock's stores.

I was in my local Hancocks yesterday. I was sorely disappointed. They had flyers out with all kinds of coupons and discounts. When I got there, they would only take 20% of original price. I walked out with nothing after looking for 30 minutes. With their kind of prices, no wonder they are going out of business. Just my rant for the day.

I haven't been that store is several years.
Hancock of Paducah is has always been a separate entity.
