Man Sewing videos
There is a new on-line free quilting show that was launched on Monday Feb. 2 called Man Sewing with Rob Appell. The first show was on curve piecing. The show airs every Monday. You can register to have an e-mail sent to you. http://land.mansewing.com/curved-piecing/ I enjoyed watching it. He appeared on Missouri Star Quilting with Jenny doing a skateboard quilt. He is very high energy and tries to include where you might have problems in his demo.

Have seen this idea demoed before....curves are not that hard...I started doing drunkards path...now that's a curve!, but after one or two....you get the feel of it...like he said....slow stitching us the KEY......
Now...as he was cutting those gentle curves from those strips then sewing them..I was thinking...why not just lay two strips down - right sides facing though, and sew the curve, then cut 1/4" away? or sew both edges in a curve then just cut straight line between them........and open them up? I am not near my sewing cave...just thinking...would that work? May have to go down later and try.
And....why do demos sew standing up...watching that makes me nervous......

Geri B - What a great idea, you could mark the curves sew and then CUT. I think I will try that.
I watched first video(s) skateboards (both the MSQ and his applique one) and have subscribed. I love watching all of that energy - makes me want to get up and get going!
