    Default Update on sewline threader

Rec'd yesterday, tried earlier this morning...just a quick trial run.....had to read the directions a few times...to me a bit unclear. But figured it out, I thought...proceeded - no go! I will try again later today....maybe my brain was still on snooze...will let you know

ok, I tried again with my 10 and 11 straw, Along with some betweens....no luck....it came with a container of 6 very thin, very small eyed needles..tried one of those.- it worked! So I guess if I were to use sewline needles this "thing" will work, otherwise forget it. I have written quilt in a day-where I purchased it-and made them aware of my disappointment! Just thought I'd fill you in.....

Thanks, Geri. I always like to hear about real life use before I purchase something. Let us know what QIAD says.

Not sure which one you got, the red or the white, it does say what size needle it takes. The red is for 9-12 and the white is for 4-8.

I have the Clover, Bohn, a generic one and the Sewline. The one that works everytime? The Needle Beetle. Cost $5.

    Geri,
    Will this help?
I could have threaded a few needles by hand in the time she took to thread one.

Over the years, I have used the Clover Threader. Occasionally, it does not work for a needle, usually because it is bent, etc. and not because it was a non-Clover needle. I was told by a quilt store owner not to use embroidery needles for threading. I have used needles of all kinds, including those with really tiny holes, with great results.
