The sharp edge of the blade is at a slight angle, and to sharpen it, you would have to hold the blade at a slight angle..not straight up like we are taught to do..
I wonder if the sharpening edge is angled?

At the top of the Sullivan page there is a topic "Where to buy", I went to the sight, it is Mynotion. They have lots of rulers and what I thought was a reasonable price. I figured they would be higher if as advertised they sharpen your blade everytime. I also looked at their fabric, all I saw was $3.95 per yard. You need to go to the Sullivan sight and look at the headings at the top and enter the Where to buy topic.

They have them at our quilt shop but I have the sizes and rulers are so expensive so I haven't tried them.

I was in my LQS earlier this week and the owner had switched both of the LONG rulers at her cutting tables (2) to these new Cutting Edge rulers. She didn't have any for sale in her shop yet, but says they are order. I'm too impatient; I went to Clotilde's and ordered two of them.

I got a small one to use from Keepsake Quilting. It doesn't alter the cut, that I noticed. Way too early to detect if it works but we'll see. I use my old rotary and regular mat using it to trim a stack and wack. It did fine.

I have to have the newest quilting tools. I have no other vice other then quilting so I freely give in to it. These rulers should make a big difference, if not they will be on clearance soon enough.
