Looking forward to seeing your quilt, Cathie. And could you share the Jane Austen link? She's my favorite author. PM me if that works better.

Gardnergal: Thanks for the link. Sigh, I think I just committed to another quilt.

I am slow on this one and that's OK I have done step one and happy with them . I am half way through the chevrons there's been a lot of ripping and unpicking. I think I'll move on to step 3 and come back to finish the chevrons. All of the quilts are gorgeous and the colour combos are beautiful.

Addiction: Bonnie's quilts are always very time consuming but worth the effort. Show us pictures of your progress.

Emma your quilt came out very pretty I love how you change your borders very nice Emma. me I was going pretty good cutting up my finial blocks I was in the pinwheel stage when all of a sudden my husband came down with the flu ,then he passed it on to me where I landed in the hospital at the icu care for 8 long long nites and days , I got a lung infection from whatever my husband ha, so now I need to get stronger before I can start sewing again, I do have nurse,s coming to check on me at home for my oxygen tanks ,but I hope to get back to finish my quilt top

Nellie: What an awful time you've had. I always say a hospital is no place to be sick, bet your glad your home. Take good care of yourself, your quilt will be waiting for you when you're strong enough to get back to it.

I'm checking in. working on A 3rd clue. that's the nice thing about waiting until you see what it is really going to look like. I can work anyplace I want in the clues. did the 4 patches. and did the tri-rec's. working on the chevron's now. and I am working as much as I can from the scrap bins. I have a lot of yellow scraps and a few gold ones, so I am really enjoying this. i'm not trimmng them all to 3.5 inches just yet. prob wait until I run out of material someplace along the way.
I stopped for a while and got my FWQ 3/4 of the way sashed. any one else just finishing up? can't wait for more pic's. |
thank you Emma. my nurse gave the good head on sewing just for a few mins per hour, I,am so happy to be home ,the hospital staff were so kind and helpful and understanding god bless them ,I only problem I had was my room mate en older lady who had her family right there all the time day and nite , I felt so uncomfortable with her family in the room I,m talking about 8 0r more persons with this lady some where her sons, which is why I felt uncomfortable each time I needed to use the rest room ,and another bad thing was the food oh man that was awful good for a person who wants to lose weight ,I,m so happy to be home and watching everyones beautiful quilt tops keep up the good work ladys and gents
