Thanks for this. I have one of those but wasn't sure how to attache it to my machine.

My Brother machine has a built in laser and I never use it!

I did this to my machine over a year ago. I like it quite a bit for certain applications ... like quilting a straight line from corner-to-corner on a quilt block ... I found the batteries wear down rather quickly. DH re-wired it so that I can plug it into an outlet.

Cheesehead, Push that button and try it. I didn't use mine either at first and now love it! It really helps with stitching perfect points!

Dh is going to Harbor Freight Monday, so I will have him get one for me! Thanks.

I ordered two from Harbor Freight the other day. The cost of two plus shipping plus tax was less than one from Amazon. I never want to draw lines on the back of black squares again.

So if you use one of these laser lights to do straight line quilting for lets say half square triangles...doesn't the laser end up pointing at your chest??? How good is that??? Having worked in a factory with laser's on some machines we were told to always use the machinery with the cover on the lasers and NEVER allow it to touch any part of us. So I'm leary of this idea.
