Awesome quilt block labels!!!
Ooooh... I just found the coolest, handiest things ever... a .pdf file with labels that you can print out (laminate if you want to) & use to keep track of your blocks as you're putting your quilt together. I hope you think these are as nifty as I do!!! :o Here's the website you can download them from:

These are great, thank you.

Thanks so much, these are great!!
I have been making my own labels much like these, pinning always to the upper left corner of each block. It does help to keep the layout correct. I don't laminate mine, just print a new batch when I need them. In fact, now that I think of it, the last time I got a block in wrong was because I thought the quilt was too small and simple to need the labels!
Mine are being printed, as I type. THANK YOU!
Another labelling method are the kid beads .... rows by letters, columns by numbers ... pin on with safety pins.
Awesome!!!!!!!
Good and handy! Thanks!

These are quite nice, thank you. I have always marked mine on a scrap piece of fabric. I bet someone will come out with these to sell to quilters, wait and see, and then charge way too much for them.

Great idea.

I numbered flat head pins with different colors for the different rows; but these labels will be even better. I am printing them off now. Thanks a million!
Thanks a lot - Will be using them on my next quilt.
What a great idea. In fact just today, I laid out my pieces and when I went to sew them together, I thought I had them correct and find out I had mixed them up, Aggggggggggh. This is just great. Thanks so much for sharing.
Printed mine!! Now I don't have to use tiny post it notes anymore. Thanks for sharing!

THANKS...mine are printed! Off to retreat this week-end and will take them with me

many thanks

I made mine using plastic sheets , cutting them into squares and just writing the info on them and punching holes into each square. It really works great for me.

A friend of mine made me some row markers using the mini clothespins.....Each is labeled "1,2,3,etc." and she glued a small jewel babble on the end of each to make them "fun". I use them all the time as I can just clip one on to the first block in each row.......

Wow! Great idea, thanks for sharing!
Love it. Thanks.

I made my own sometime ago but I used differant colored paper and laminated them.
Thank you! What a great resource!
These are great - much nicer than my current method! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. Don't have access to a laminator so will do as I have with past projects. I will use packing tape over them to protect the ink and to give the paper some body.
Those are great. I was doing a complicated quilt a couple of years ago and made up some of these myself. Very useful. I made some in different colors, a different color for each quilt. Doesn't everyone have several going at once? LOL!
thanks. I'll use those when I am sewing with others or need to leave them in for any of period of time. At home I just use a peice of masking tape with the row written on. I know seems lazy but works for me.
Great idea. Tks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing the link. I just printed them and am getting ready to laminate them. They will be very helpful when I start sewing my blocks for my king size quilt together. I have been hesitant to start assembling the block because I didn't know how I was going to keep them in order.
