That method has been around for years. Kaye Wood introduced it in the 1980. However she didn't clip. I watched it and noted he didn't give any guide how to make sure you sew to the exact point at the corner. If you don't sew exactly the seam allowance then the mitre doesn't turn good.

Thank you so much for the link. I have a magazine called "Celebrations" by Patrick Lose where he describes that technique. I could never quite figure it out. Now I see it, and it seems so simple. I will definitely try that next time! Thanks again!

This is a great tip! I have never been totally satisfied with my quilt corners, this technique seems to be what I need.
