Thank You. I am taking a class on how to use all the different feet on a Janome. I will add this to my notebook.

If the Janome ladies find out anything, please share it with us. I'll be waiting in the wings, near my Janome 8900 :) to give it a try

I actually saw this tutorial about 6 months ago and went to my Bernina shop and bought the foot.. it went reasonably well for the most part but there is still an art to doing it correctly. If anyone else works with this and runs into trouble or has questions, privately message me and we can talk. I can tell you what I encountered, etc.

Of course one foot I do not have! Always something new to learn with these Bernina machines.

Latest word that I received from Janome: "The Hemmer foot can be used to sew flat Felled seams on sheers. See the link below:

http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/...eams_on_Sheers

The Hemmer foot would not help when sewing Flat Felled seams on heavy fabric." and "There are many excellent videos and tutorials on the internet that would help you sew a Flat Felled Seam without a specialty foot. Here is one that we like:

http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-...at-felled-seam "

So, Janome doesn't make a flat fell foot like Bernina, so I guess that those of us with Janomes will have to try these methods.

Thanks for sharing the info you got on behalf of Janome machine owners....appreciate your efforts :)

Brilliant thinking!! I will definitely try it.

I just looked for the flat felling foot and Amazon has a listing for a generic one that is supposed to fit some Janome's.
Might be worth a try?
