The best score was 0 and I came in with a 21. I guess that isn't to bad. Fun anway!

quilter68 11-19-2010 10:35 AM

The highest score was 1520. Was that bad or good?

joyceelaine1951 11-19-2010 10:41 AM

Low scores indicate perfect color vision. Higher scores show a weakness. At the end it will show where you may have a weakness in sensing the hues in a given color family.

There are high scores for age range and sex so you can compare your score with others in your range.

I got an 11.

isnthatodd 11-19-2010 11:20 AM

I got a 91. Thought I did a little better than that. Maybe that explains why I like scrappy quilts in bright colors.

bearisgray 11-19-2010 11:23 AM

I ended up with a 20

CraftsByRobin 11-19-2010 11:31 AM

I got an 11 ... :) which I'm happy with as I'm blind in one eye.

amma 11-19-2010 11:40 AM

Fun quiz!! I got a 27

magpie 11-19-2010 12:04 PM

got a 17, not too bad. thanks for sharing. it was interesting.

sahm4605 11-19-2010 12:06 PM

i got a 51. not too back. I already knew that I had color blind issues. I can't see the different color hues when they are really close together in hue.

I haven't been diagnosed with color-blindness, but I have the same problem distinguishing colors. I got so confused, and second-guessed myself so often, I just gave up.

I also don't know what colors go well together. Guess that's why I don't make quilts unless I make it in the same colors as the pattern, and then I have to have the store clerk help me pick out my fabrics. I'll gather 12 or 15 fabrics to take to the counter and ask for help matching up 4 or 5 of them. I'm just hopeless!

I absolutely marvel at people who can design their own patterns and make up their own color combinations.

pester 11-19-2010 12:31 PM

I'm a 50. This would be intersing to have my red/green color blind husband to due.

Kat Sews 11-19-2010 12:35 PM

I got a 3. I'm happy

Butterflyblue 11-19-2010 12:40 PM

I got a 19. Not surprised that it wasn't perfect, since I know my husband has a better eye for colors (matching hues, maybe not coordinating) than I do.

Qbee 11-19-2010 12:47 PM

I got a 4.....pretty good for a beginner I think :D

quilter68 11-19-2010 12:55 PM

Aha! I did worse the second time than the first time. I think I will take it again after dark when the sun is not shinning on this computer.

Thanks for the info.

Char 11-19-2010 01:15 PM

27 for me

pittsburgpam 11-19-2010 01:34 PM

I got a 12. I did it on my laptop but I know that I see things in better colors on my desktop monitor. :P

madamekelly 11-19-2010 04:00 PM

I got a 24. Funny thing is my problem areas were in colors I don't care to work with, go figure

Not me. I got a 78 which is no surprise to me. And, if they had a test to see if something hanging on a wall was level, I'd flunk that, too..................

ljfox 11-19-2010 04:44 PM

I got a 36. I made all my mistakes on the blue/green one. Thats interesting to me.

mollymct 11-19-2010 04:57 PM

19! I seemed to have trouble with the blues.

wesing 11-19-2010 05:07 PM

This is bad. I work for a color company (albeit in the Accounting Dept) and I scored 15.

I got a 39 and my trouble area was the same colors as yours.

Sewingyankee 11-19-2010 05:21 PM

I got a 4

mollymct 11-19-2010 06:46 PM

I had to try again and my best is a 4.

maries 11-19-2010 08:13 PM

I got a 12.

grammyp 11-19-2010 08:24 PM

I got a 36, but I know I have problems with hue.

lab fairy 11-19-2010 08:29 PM

Mine was a 37. Color is always a "problem child" at my house. My family are my consultants. I'm getting better. I don't think I'll ever be the scrappy kind of gal. It frustrates me to no end.

LindaM 11-19-2010 08:43 PM

40, then 26, and now I'm cross-eyed!!

Very interesting exercise.

jljack 11-19-2010 08:45 PM

My eyes don't see that much difference in the colors. Sorry...I didn't even try it.

Susy 11-19-2010 08:59 PM

No wonder I have so much trouble getting a quilt together, i got 77

Prettiptibbs 11-19-2010 09:04 PM

I got 15...the pinks did me in!

dewie45 11-19-2010 09:04 PM

4 here, but I almost got a headache with this.

That's still a very, very good score. Not only are the colors so subtly different, each of our monitors can distort the color too making it even harder to distinguish.

Honestly, I think I got my practice with hues more from jigsaw puzzles, think endless sky or grassy fields, than from the color variations in fabrics.
