That's so cute. I have seen these made from cutter quilts too, and when they cut them from the cutter quilts, they are just cut... no finiing the edges or anything. I always loved the paper chains as a kid. I might have to try this too!

I have fabric turners of several different sizes. got them at Joann's. They really work well and turn fabric in no time.

You could do the Advent countdown by putting them together with Velcro that way you could take one off each day! Also in bright colors for little kids with Velcro so they could make their own designs and necklaces.

Great minds think alike. As I was reading the directions I kept wondering how to take it apart. As I got to the last and saw the button I too realized velcro would make it reusable. :-)

Eleanor Burns uses a straw and a bodkin to turn narrow or small pieces of fabric. She makes it look easy. You may be able to find a tute on her website. I've seen her do it on her shows that come on our local PBS Station.
