Hoffman has just posted their 2011 holiday fabrics on their website. Thought you might enjoy looking at them!
Winter Magic - http://hoffmanfabrics.com/SuperStore...sortmentID=310 Gilded Holiday - http://hoffmanfabrics.com/SuperStore...sortmentID=286 Holiday Splendor - http://hoffmanfabrics.com/SuperStore...sortmentID=213 All is Bright - http://hoffmanfabrics.com/SuperStore...sortmentID=291 The greens are lighter and brighter than last year, more of an emerald-jade shade, no hint of yellow in them. Their blue Christmas fabrics look great! They've brought back their cardinals, and mini-cardinals - same colors as last year - hard to improve on perfection, right? As always there are a lot of blenders too. Enjoy! |
Wow! It is so hard to find silver and gold fabrics! I only perused the gilded line and they are fantastic!
Beautiful! SO tempting!
I really cant say that any of them said WOW to me....
Pretty pretty!! I think I like more of the fabrics in the Winter Magic Collection!
I like some of the cardinals - but I love birds.
I also do like that newer green in the bright collection. It's not lime but not that thimbleberris dusty green either. Kind of cool. |
How are you going to choose which ones to stock? I'd hate to decide.
Pretty!
Love the Winter Magic
Holiday Splendor - navy silver's my favorite. Just love snowflakes! Well, at this point, only fabric ones - have had enough of the real kind!

Those that did well for us last year - the cardinals, the cranberries, the snowflakes... those are the ones that I definitely say "yes" to. And we did well last year with all of Hoffman's blue ones, so I ordered many of those as well. The red, gold, and green are harder to choose. We have Peggy Toole's "Holiday Flourish 4" group on order, too, and they have a look that's a bit similar to the more traditional Hoffman ones. I really prefer the greens in Peggy's line, so I leaned a bit more toward the reds, golds, and creams in the Hoffman group. Except... .that some of the green ones, the "medallion" designs, remind me somehow of Celtic designs, which of course got me thinking of all things Irish and St. Patrick's Day, so I couldn't pass those up and... If you are guessing that I got carried away as usual, you would be right. |
when will they be on the market?

I usually don't say this, but I can't say that any of them really appealed to me. I might buy some, but only if asked to use one by a specific person.
:( Nothing's screaming out "buy me!" |

Shops who price these fabrics at full retail will probably be charging over $10 / yard for these this holiday season. We keep our prices less than that (but I think it would be bad form to post them here). |

Do we really want to think about Christmas 2011 ! OMG, still have a few UFO's from 2010, ran out of time. :P :P :P
Nice to see the new lines. They are really beautiful. I am so glad to see some of the old ideas appearing in new designs. I always felt Hoffman had the best Christmas fabric but in the past few years it was not as great. Thanks for providing the information,

WOW, most of them are telling me to take them home. Thanks for sharing
Yummy delicious looking, and sooooo elegant.
Thanks for the Christmas preview. Gave me all kinds of ideas. Maybe if I started tomorrow I might get them done ahead of time - but what would be the fun in that. I am definitely a last minute wonder - have a needlepoint posted by my computer "If it weren't for the last minute a lot of things wouldn't get done."
Those are gorgeous!
I love them all. Especially the geometrics and stripes! I'll be watching for them. Thanks for the previews.

Is there anything to look forward with a religious theme?
I liked the one fabric with the reindeers. They just look so spritely (or something!) :D
I am on a laptop and the colors are not so good for me. I think they'll be really pretty when seen in person.
You would think we would be tired of Christmas fabric having just finished Christmas, but it always looks good!
But we have to wait on this so we can really get excited. Susan |
I could not find a place to purchase the fabric. It is beautiful!!
Some of it is nice but a lot of it doesn't even look Christmasy.
I had better start saving now I love all of them!!! Also I loved all but the more modern of the Moda Christmas medleys! I'm going to have a really hard time! How do you ever decide what fabrics to buy? Great fabric!
beautiful fabrics thank you
I'm afraid to look!! The last group of Christmas fabrics you posted just made me drool and I always seem to gravitate to Hoffman prints. OK - here I go - wish my luck-LOL!
YEP - I went there- and I'm back! I found some I will most likely buy - my favorite is the cream with the gold reindeer. I will definitely buy a few yards of that one. |
Are you getting any of these in your shop?????
Thanks for the info.
It's very hard to choose... yes, we are going to be carrying some of these in our store. I chose a lot of the blues... because no other makers had true blues for Christmas... a couple of the reindeers, some Christmas batiks by Hoffman, some of the blenders...
The new-for-2011 ones we chose will probably be up on our site in 3-4 weeks. Those that were available in 2010 that are being reprinted (the cardinals - large and small - and the cranberries) are already on our site for pre-order. |
I don't see any tomato reds in those fabrics either. I was tired of those.
Most years they try a color combination that's kind of "out there". The riskiest thing they did this year was to brighten up the greens. That's not what I would really call risky... think they are playing it safe!
Gorgeous! My favorites are Holiday Splendor and All is Bright! But especially Holiday Splendor!!! I can just see a quilt made from this line! Wow!
