interesting way of doing things. thers always more then one way to skin a turkey.

I had seen this tutorial somewhere before and saved it to my "favorites"... thanks for the reminder, I have not yet tried it myself.

I just tried a square in a square block like that. It's really easy. I agree that there is some waste but there is with paper piecing. The only problem i think there might be is the amount of bulk at the outside seam. I used flannel so that may have been the problem. Of course it could also have been "user error!" It was still a new and fun technique. Good luck. I hope you try it and let us know what you think.
