Fold and Sew Quilt

Watched a video on "Fold and Sew Quilt" today. Think I will give this a try. Here is the link if you might like to view it.

I played with it and thought a lot of waste.

I think it's a great technique to use with precuts, especially if cutting is a problem for someone. I've been meaning to try it sometime.

It is a fast and simple way to make a nice quilt when you are burned out on complex. Sometimes the waste justifies the end.

Heres a fold and sew that Jenny Doan does for Missouri Star Quilt. I made this but made them little for Project Linus. And the waste is minimal.

I not only watched that, but also bookmarked it....I thought it very clever and a fast technique for some quilts and precuts......

Very interesting technique - thanks for sharing :)

I am actually doing this using a bunch of charm scraps and 10" extras.....so far, it's looking good and is certainly easy. I did first iron both the large and small squares into quarters to be sure I was able to line all up properly. That took the most time.....I am squaring each finished block to 8 3/4". It would be easy to square it off to other dimensions.
