Great idea. I made a multi-pocket bag for ease of finding and it is also easy to grab and take when needed. It also has smaller pockets for the cutters.

Great ideas. I don't have many rulers (yet), and they hang on my peg board for now.

There was a free pattern out there for a coffee mug apron tutorial and it works great for the little things. I did a search here on the forum and although I didn't find what I was looking for I did come up with this blog here that has a never ending listing of places & sites that I hope you don't mind if I pop the link in here. I will keep looking for the mug apron pattern. http://www.quiltingboard.com/blogs/1...***-b2045.html

I recycled a wood knife holder...took the strapes off....turned the holder on its side....re-positioned the strapes.....now the slits are on top....and I have a neat storage unit

solstice3 - I got a couple of those desk organizers that spin on a turntable, to keep all of my little tools in. They hold seam rippers, scissors, screw drivers, small rulers, forceps, sewing machine oil, turning tools, hemming tools, just all kinds of things right where I need them.

My rulers hang on my pegboard. Smaller rulers and hole-less rulers go in ziplock bags, which I then hang on my pegboard. My odds and ends (long pointy objects) go in coffee mugs or mason jars. I use an empty plastic mint container to put my old cutting wheels and needles in. It snaps closed so they can't escape. My UFOs and other craft supplies are in stackable, lidded plastic storage containers. I have an embarrassingly wide variety of craft supplies, some of which I bought and some I inherited from my grandmother ... therefore I have a LOT of plastic containers.

(I ***seriously*** need to downsize! :o )
