Greatest Ruler Storage Solution I've found - -

The sides are solid, so the rulers can't fall out. It's inexpensive and doesn't have a large footprint. My rulers are tamed..........finally!

Cool! I use something similar, but the sides on mine are open. :(

Here's how I tamed mine ... a brass newspaper holder for the fireplace!!
Similar in concept to yours, heavier, thus more stable ... and low cost at the thrift store.
The pails are a three step garbage system for the cutting table.
Pail for real garbage ... blue garbage can for recyclable paper garbage ... milk can inside of it holds fabric crumbs.
The wooden tray keeps other odds and ends under control. Just three things to remover from the cutting table, when I clear the deck to sandwich a quilt.

Good idea if you have the surface space. I have mine hung on a peg board. I can see all my rulers at a glance. Five or six will hang on one hook.

I tried one of these, but it kept tipping over, even when I had it against the wall. Probably great for shorter rulers & guides.

Love this idea!

I use a wrought iron CD rack. My short rulers slide in like CDs and I used plexiglass pieces from the paint store for the wider rulers and my yardsticks stand inside. I have it standing in the corner of one table and attached to the wall.

QuiltE...still playing with buckets from your former life? It looks like it's working for you. My table top is limited in space so I have a plastic bag hanging on a nearby door knob for fabric scraps, regular waste basket and my rulers are just under my table on the 3 wide drawer plastic units that are so readily available.
