Guess what i'll be adding to another collection. Yes I loved the idea, I hope they don't mind if I copy. How unique!

Love the upholstery! Great idea!
You know, selvages are VERY STRONG! I use my stash of selvages for tying up boxes; tomato plants; holding things together, etc. Even have a few tucked in my car for emergencies - you never know when you'll need them and they take up so little room. |
I went to a quilt in for the Quilts of Valor a couple of weeks ago. I went around asking everyone for their selvages. Those who thought I was nuts watched me dig them out of the trash can. Most of the fabrics say Quilts of Valor on them. I figure a combination of the selvages along with my scraps left over from making the quilt will make a real nice purse for the 4th of July!

I love it and what a creative way to use them! :D

I quilted a wallhanging for a customer that was made of all selvages. It was very unique. She did it as a challenge quilt.

That is a great idea! I am currently sitting on a chair that was made in the 1970's and the seat has a huge tear in it. Not to mention it is ugly as all get out. Gonna put that on my to do list!

So different - what a way to recycle!
