Wow, this is a great quilt, looks difficult but is easy peasy to make.
Take a look at all the photos, 4 pages worth, and you will be inspired to make one too. Several show the fabrics they started with, showing the amazing results when completed. http://www.webshots.com/search?query=Hidden+Wells+Quilt Here are the directions http://www.reddawn.net/quilt/hwells.htm What I love about this: it is easy, fabrics don't have to coordinate or match in any way so I get to use those fabrics in my stash that I bought cuz they 'called my name' with no idea what project I would use them in. If you have made a quilt like this please let us know and post photos please. warm quilt hugs, sue in CA |
I have made one of these before. A couple years ago. We used it as a mystery quilt. I made a wall hanging size. However when I got my new sewing machine I used it to "practice" all the new fancy stitches and did not take too much care in how well it quilted. I still have it but it is used to cover things.

Haven't thought about this quilt pattern fo years! It was the 1st internet pattern I ever did. A fun quilt to make. ( I hate to tell you that it is not yet quilted  ) My quilting buddy made a small lap size using jewel tone fabrics. I turned out beautiful. She calls it Hidden Jewels.
