I have a new tutorial on my blog. It is the first in a series of how to draw your own quilting lines. This teaches how to use a heart template (actually 1/2 a heart) to make feathers and fans. You can use this for hand or machine quilting. I hope you like it. Here is the link: http://michiganloonyloomer.blogspot.com/

Thanks for looking at it! :D

I watched your tutorial. Thanks for sharing. What kind of marker do you use?? I've been struggling with finding the right marker.

Hi JT, I use a chalk marker that you can get from your local quilt shop. They are refillable and come in three colors; white, blue, and yellow. There is a new marker now that has just come out with in the past year that I have and like. It is like a pen--well more like a mechanical pencil called Sewline. The "lead" gives a fine line and is very easy to remove with you are ready for it to come off. I think it removes much better than the chalk. It also comes in different colors. Here is their website so you can look at it: http://www.sewline-product.com/
