Jenny's new tutorial

Jenny Doan from the Missouri Start Quilt Company has new tutorial out, using a layer cake, she makes a Disappearing Hourglass Quilt . it's really cute!!

That's cool, I used some of my oh so precious on-line minutes to watch some of it.
For those familiar with their company, would the instructions be somewhere on their site, or is it something they sell?

Really cute! I think it will be perfect for misc. fat quarters with one main background colour to tie them together. I can cut a couple of 10 inch squares from each. As with all of Jenny's recut tutorials, starch fabric well and handle gently as the bias edges stretch.

Usually you can print out directions from her site. or under video. Also many of her quilts are in her "block" magazine

Sew carefully with 1/4 inch seams and watch the stretch. The bad new is......the bias edges stretch.....the good news is......the stretch helps to make the pieces line up well. The other tricky part is dividing it into 3 equal sections for cutting. My block ended up being a smidge over inner measurement but I used 2 1/8 with a smidge over the 1/8 mark on my ruler to do the last 9 patch cuts.
It came out quite nice and I will make a few more until the pale yellow background from my stash runs out. Hopefully it will be an even number of blocks. On the final 2 seams when sewing the 9 patch together, I pressed them open as there were a lot of seam allowances. Here's what it looks like.

Here's the back and the total size is 1/8 under 12 inches.
