Yes, such a good idea.

Interesting tip but I just load extra bobbins for a big project.

That is a good idea. Especially for the vintage machines that don't tell you when your bobbin is running low.

I really like this tip. You could be sure you had the same amount of the same color thread
or even if your using two colors bc sometimes your backing color is different, you know
by the top bobbin how low the other one is. Thank you!

Interesting idea. I just slide my plate and peek to see how low I'm getting. Then I just pop in another bobbin. My lighting is a clip on, super bright, goose neck Ott light, so I have to remove it to thread my machine. Your idea seems much simpler!

Good idea! Thank you for the pointer.

Wow a great ideal

That is a good idea. I use another method. When I am going to load a bobbin I pick a spot about two feet from the end of the thread and mark it with a marker. As I am sewing, when I see that mark I know I am close to the end of the bobbin. I use a Frixion pen to mark the thread with and it just goes sway with a touch of the iron.

I agree. My old Singers have small bobbins.
Great tip, thanks!
