It' about 7 hours driving for me. A nice two day trip. Leave early one morning, stop and site see along the way, nice restaurant meal, spend the next day at MSQC and then drive home that afternoon. Just might do that this week before ball practice starts for grand.

Fifteen hours for me. I would love to go but not interested in the long drive. Airports are a thing of the past for me.
Guess I will just shop on line as usual.

I don't know if there are motels in Hamilton but Cameron , to the west, is only 9 miles away and has several motels. It is on I-35 and that is where you turn east to go over to MSQC. Man Cave is done. When our group was eating lunch, Jennie and her son were out floating around. we remarked to her how the employees were so knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Her son spoke up and told us that her employees in the stores have to learn how to cut out, piece, sew and press quilt blocks and make them into quilts before they can begin working in the store. She laughed and said yes that's right!!! Imagine she would be a fun person to work for!

Yes, everyone needs to go to MSQC. I live about 2.5 hours away and have been there 3 times. Each time I go, it has changed and grown. I'm planning a trip there again in a couple of weeks. I haven't seen the "man cave" so I'm excited to see that. They also have a nice up scale restaurant named The Blue Sage and a cute burger/milk shake place all right in the middle of all of the shops. The story behind the forming of this business and its success still amazes me.

I was there several years ago, but there were not as many stores then. I really want to go back. Love the daily deals.

Thanks for the info. I am glad I can shop twice a year at M&L fabrics in Anaheim CA. Probably have much lower prices on a great selection of fabrics.

Thanks for posting. I've often thought of taking a trip there.

A member of the new Nanaimo Modern Quilt Guild told me at the last meeting that she got to go to MSQC last Summer and loved it.

32+ hours driving time from my home, more than half way across the continent! I love to drive, but that is three days driving each way without stopping to see the sights along the way.

Maybe I can plan that as a graduation gift to myself when I get my degree in 3 years.

The story of how a quilt shop turned around the economy of a town is inspirational.

It's not about price to me. The story behind the success of MSQC is amazing and the family members are supportive and work together. Jenny and her DH raised amazing children and the children built the business around them.

I'm hoping our currency rate improves by summer, this is on my summer road trip planner. Any other Southern Ontario quilters interested. Maybe we could organize something,
