Mine arrived today......love it

LavenderBlue 04-24-2014 05:36 PM

Mine arrived today. Getting ready to make an evening cup of coffee, kick back, and ENJOY! I took a class with Jenny last Friday in Palm Coast, FL. It was so wonderful and a memory-maker.

I don't like it when a magazine automatically deduct a renewal subscription from my credit card without my permission. It took forever to find the phone number to cancel the subscription.

Pilgrim 04-24-2014 07:42 PM

I just received my 2nd Block Magazine. Beautiful, love it.

nanquilt 04-24-2014 07:43 PM

Received the second Block magazine today

I received my second MSGC Block magazine today and it has so many great quilts.

jofrob 04-24-2014 08:15 PM

I received mine today. Be patient. It's well worth the wait. They always have great stuff and ideas.

coopah 04-25-2014 04:43 AM

Not everyone will be happy with the way a business works all of the time. Having lived in a business family all my life, I know that well. If you don't like the way it's done, vote with your feet and wallet. For me, it's worth the wait and the cost is well worth it. The quality of the papers used is much better than most I see these days. If you order the digital, you won't have any wait time. If you are consistently unhappy with the service, then unsubscribe. Complaining here doesn't really address the issue for you. IMHO

berryberry 04-25-2014 06:04 AM

I haven't gotten my new issue yet. I have a new mailman so he doesn't fully appreciate how I'm looking forward to receiving it. Time to break him in.

I enjoy doing business with MSQC. Their customer service is refreshing. I like the friendly funny emails letting me know when a new tutorial is out, when they receive an order and another one telling me when they ship. It does build the excitement in me, because I know the product is on the way. Come on Block #2! I'm a waiting and I know it will be worth the wait and then some.

For those who have received, could you please share the list of the blocks in #2?

It would be in their best interests to go to a yearly model, because as it is, I'm not sure that the original poster is the only one who thinks, "gee, they charged my account two weeks ago, why hasn't my mag shipped." This is not something they want their customers to think 6 times a year

And I think it's an understandable for the OP to be a little perturbed. And the justifications? To order a magazine subscription even with the old model and have to wait EIGHT weeks to get an issue is really poor in the digital age and shouldn't be used to justify practices now. I could see it when they had to type each label on a typewriter or something, but there's no excuse today.

I am a want it now type person but I understand the delay from payment to publishing to shipment. It's not that simple a process.
I think MSQC is dedicated to making a success so I'm sure every possible way to improve will be their priority. MSQC is turning the quilt industry in a new direction. They are creating a stir in the small business world. They have national attention now.

Hi i'm Morgan and I work for Missouri Star Quilt Company! :) The April issue of the magazine was shipped out this week!!! :) It might take a couple weeks to get to you though, because they were mailed out from the printers on the East Coast with a bulk mail permit. Thanks for being so patient with us! :) We can't wait for you to see it!

dancinlady 04-25-2014 05:45 PM

Got mine today. It was a couple of weeks ago that I got the email that they had charged my credit card so it was rather quick. It's as good as the first. I am so impressed with the quality of all aspects of the "magazine."

LindaR 04-27-2014 05:52 AM

I just got my first one and love it....I haven't started the mystery in the last two pages...hope to get second faster

Normabeth 04-29-2014 07:06 AM

I Live in New Jersey and received the magazine yesterday

nancysp 05-09-2014 04:18 PM

Mine is still a No Show. Are there others that haven't yet received theirs?

coopah 05-10-2014 04:21 AM

Mine came over a week ago. Maybe a call to the customer service and they could check for you? They have been cheerful and polite when I've called. Better a phone call than waiting and wondering. IMHO;)

hcarpanini 05-10-2014 04:29 AM

I already received mine. About two weeks ago.

I live in Va. and I still haven't received my #2 Block. I received my #1 Block the first week of release so this is disappointing. I contacted MSQC and they said give it another week. If it doesn't come in the next week, I'll contact them again, but I'll also cancel the subscription. Life is to short.

DebbE 05-10-2014 06:19 AM

The second was well worth the wait, just as the first was. I read it cover to cover, and went back through later to look through it again. Took it to work for a quilting friend to enjoy, and she's had it a week now, as she's doing the same thing. LOVE the 'magazine'....although I'd call it a book! As usual, MSQC did a fabulous job!

You gave permission when you registered. If you no longer wanted the magazine you had ample time to cancel before the next magazine came out. Maybe read twice submit once.

I called them today , as suggested. I was told to wait until JUNE 1st and call back. The customer service person told me they were sent out in waves. Sounded like they are receiving a lot of calls. She actually told me to check with my post office if they've delivered others. I'm quite sure that would be a waste of my time. I won't cancel my subscription yet, but am really disappointed.

LindaR 05-13-2014 05:10 AM

I haven't got my second one yet either....first one took a long time

Linda, have you received yours yet? Mine still is MIA.

Geri B 05-20-2014 04:08 AM

Does this publication also go to LSQs if they have subscribed, and if so can it then be purchased at the same price? Just wondering......

Wonder how many of this mag had to be printed? Having to ship in "waves"?

I sent them an email and they answered today. They said that their shipping method is Media Mail, which takes 2-4 weeks and they won't do anything until after June 1.

Mine was charged in early April, long before they were mailed.

I bought mine at my LQS for the same price. In fact, I bought the first two issues at the same time and am enjoying them a lot.

I hope the next issue is mistake free, the first 2 have quite a few. Which indicates to me that the proof reader is not doing the job they are paid for.
