MSQC second magazine

Does anyone know when the next MSQC magazine will be shipped? They took the money from my account a couple of weeks ago, but I never heard when I can expect to see the magazine. Any ideas?

nativetexan 04-22-2014 07:57 AM

they run slow on getting them to customers. I'm sure it will come. hopefully they will get faster because taking funds out way ahead of delivery isn't endearing them to customers.

Onebyone 04-22-2014 08:13 AM

You pay a subscription elsewhere a year in advance so why would it be a problem paying a few weeks in advance?

trennag 04-22-2014 08:57 AM

This is from the email that was sent when they processed my payment...

"Unfortunately it will take a few weeks to get this magazine into your hands, now we go print it, bag it, label it, and ship it off to you, we're seriously talking a few weeks, but now that your payment is through, we'll take care of the rest!"

DonnaC 04-22-2014 10:13 AM

For the first issue, it took about four weeks from when I received the notification to when I got the magazine. It was worth waiting for, but it's difficult because we're like little kids at Christmastime!

Cam's gram 04-22-2014 12:38 PM

I got a notice from them 4/10 that my credit card didn't work to ship the magazine - oops - got a new one and forgot to update that automatic payment. Updated the info and received an email the next day all was fine and it shipped. Still waiting. I'm not impressed with the time lapse between my account being charged and when the magazine arrives. Think I will call customer service tomorrow.

nygal 04-22-2014 01:20 PM

It will be a nice surprise whenever my copy arrives.

Homemother 04-22-2014 02:54 PM

When I start a magazine subscription I pay at least one full year then have to wait at least 6 weeks before the first magazine arrives, sometimes it is 8 weeks. Please be patient with MSQC, especially since this is their first year with the magazine. I appreciate their family run business and the boost to their local economy because of their efforts.

meyert 04-22-2014 04:26 PM

I don't mind that the $5.99 came out of my account .. I am just excited to get my hands on it

cizzors 04-22-2014 06:38 PM

If I end up getting mine all in the month of Dec, I'll be a happy camper as long as I get them.

cdmmiracles 04-23-2014 01:41 AM

When I start a new subscription on a magazine that's been up and running for years, it always takes 8-12 weeks to get it started, so with MSQC being so new, they are probably still working out a few kinks. Just be patient! Was the 1st issue good?? I saw it adviertised but didn't order :(

judi43 04-23-2014 03:50 AM

Gosh ladies, where is your patience? You can wait every 3 month for some subscriptions which are quite costly but your complaining at $5.99 and a few weeks. This is a great book & it takes time to put something this great out to thousands of people. Give them break.

Amen to that comment :)

DonnaC 04-23-2014 06:28 AM

My post was in no way a complaint. I was simply passing along information about how long it took the magazine to get to the East Coast from Missouri! Hey, I buy both the digital and the paper editions, so obviously I am a Missouri Star fan! :)

Carol34446 04-23-2014 06:43 AM

Expect it will be here by end of month. When they told me that they had charged me it was going to be two weeks, so it will come ladies, and hard as it is, we all have to be patient. It is only $5.99 they charge, so that is cheap and it will come. Now, hurry up block, can't wait to see your next edition.:D:p

shasta5718 04-23-2014 07:52 AM

Maybe they need to get paid ahead to pay for expenses in getting the mag. out.

Received his same email. It takes even longer to get to Alaska--but the first one showed up and I'm sure this one will too.

You haven't had a magazine subscription before? It takes about two months for the subscription to start after payment.

misseva 04-23-2014 11:36 AM

I'm anxious to get my 2nd BLOCK but the fact that I've already paid for it doesn't bother me at all. Sorta like an old commercial I used to see - 'Pay me now or pay me later'. $5.99 isn't going to break me. I remember I paid my cheerleader granddaughter for a subscription to a quilt magazine and it was at least 2 months or more before I got the first one.

cheya 04-23-2014 12:53 PM

I received the first magazine before they took my money from my account. I agree with an earlier comment that $6 is such a great price for this beautiful quilting magazine.

palmetto girl 04-23-2014 03:07 PM

Call me lucky here in SC I got my new issue today!!!! Just as exciting as the first one. Hope you get yours soon.

coopah 04-23-2014 04:52 PM

I use my credit card to pay for the magazine. The magazine hasn't arrived, but neither has the credit card bill. It's great that they bill for each magazine which can be stopped at any time. They are wise to get the orders and then do the printing. Think about the waste if they just printed a bunch each time. I'm happy with how they're going about it, and think there will be less lag time from placing the order to having it reach our mailboxes as they become more experienced.

Lisa Marie 04-23-2014 06:13 PM

I was very happy with their first issue its worth waiting for!

dmsaki 04-23-2014 07:35 PM

Got my second issue today! Love it.

abdconsultant 04-23-2014 07:55 PM

Got my second issue today!

Maureen 04-24-2014 03:43 AM

Mine came yesterday. I love it!

kydeb 04-24-2014 05:18 AM

The email that I read said that it had been charged to my account (and it has) and it would be a few weeks. I believe that they charge it when the order goes to the printer. The printer sends them out I believe. Update - just ready that some have received theirs - maybe the time frame has shortened a little since the first issue :-)

EmiliasNana 04-24-2014 06:14 AM

I got mine yesterday (4-23-14), but seemed to be at the end of the mailing list on the first issue. It is every bit as good as the first. Enjoy it when it comes........and it will eventually. Someone told me it may be sitting at the Post Office until they have room to deliver it, which is frustrating.

I think I read that here on the board too.

MissJMac 04-24-2014 08:00 AM

most subscriptions require 4- 6- wks before the first issue is received(something about verification, setting up data bases, mailing lists ,etc). After initial delivery, you should have no problems (I hope).

TeresaA 04-24-2014 09:55 AM

I think it's a poor business model to charge the customer every time the mag ships. It would be in their best interests to go to a yearly model, because as it is, I'm not sure that the original poster is the only one who thinks, "gee, they charged my account two weeks ago, why hasn't my mag shipped." This is not something they want their customers to think 6 times a year.

And I think it's an understandable for the OP to be a little perturbed. And the justifications? To order a magazine subscription even with the old model and have to wait EIGHT weeks to get an issue is really poor in the digital age and shouldn't be used to justify practices now. I could see it when they had to type each label on a typewriter or something, but there's no excuse today.

misseva 04-24-2014 10:05 AM

They do have a choice to be billed bi-monthly or yearly. All you have to do is go in and change your preferences.

Suzie Busch 04-24-2014 12:34 PM

Just to let all of you know, I got my copy today. As usual it's very nice.

matraina 04-24-2014 01:09 PM

I just got mine yesterday but haven't had much time to go through it yet.

dancinlady 04-24-2014 02:04 PM

Has anyone had any issues with anything ever purchased from them? I haven't. I trust them, I can' wait for mine to come, and yes I was charged already, but that just let me know I have something wonderful coming! I took the first issue into work and share it with my quilting ladies, and they all sent in for subscriptions! that was six more sold for them! I enjoyed my trip out to the shop in January 2013 when I had to go to MO for some meetings I went a day early just so I could driver the hour and half to go to the shop and meet Jenny and the "crew" well worth the trip!!

suern3 04-24-2014 02:53 PM

My thoughts exactly.

You cannot make any interest now days on the $5.99. It seems I read on their site they charge us and then send the block to the printer. I love this magazine. I will wait patiently.
