I see the octagon but how did you do the sunflower?

Barbara Lee 09-23-2010 01:53 PM

I guess I'm not seeing on the tute what size the dresden plates are (how big is the ruler you used. would love to make one.

I've been searching the internet for the cardinals center. Any ideas where I might find it? Love your topper.

Barbara Lee 09-24-2010 09:12 AM

can you share where you found the poinsetta squares?

Bobbinchick 09-28-2010 09:15 PM

I saw the tute, but I don'r see how large the octogon piece is. Only thing I saw was how wide the strips are , but not the octogone size. There are a couple of ladies asking the same question over there. Huggies, Fay

Riversong 09-29-2010 07:02 AM

They are 14 inches. The reason I didnt mention that is because it doesnt really matter,,yu can use whatever size octagon and steips yu choose. I was just showing the method.

Bobbinchick 09-29-2010 07:38 AM

Thank you. I have some Christmas stuff I can applique' on some to make toppers for Christmas. I started one and I couldn't get a good size to fit the applique' Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

sringh 10-29-2010 05:49 PM

oh I have been looking for how to make an octagon. Are you
still sending the newspaper pattern? I looked it up on google and I think I could geometrically do it. Is this what you did?
