Thanks! I've been keeping a plastic bin under my sewing table and just scrape cutting scraps right into it, then add whatever else as they come along. I was just going to wing it, but this will be better, I'm sure.

That is a super idea! I have 3 large "pillows" ready to take to the Houston SPCA -- wish I had known about this before. From now on though! I keep a small trashcan by my machine and all scraps go into it. When it is full I fill a bag from grocery store/ Dollar Tree, etc. and as I fill it, I cut large pieces or long pieces into smaller scraps. When I have several bags, I make the pillow. and I have used flannel that turned out to be very stiff after washed, etc. They always seem happy to have them. Much better than to lay on the hard concrete floor in the kennels! Thanks for the heads up!

This project will help me let go of those scraps that are really too small to use again. I always hated throwing them out. I can cut up some of the big uglies too. Have a pet scrap container next to my keep-it scrap container at the cutting board will stop me from fretting about wasting fabric.

Definitely a great way to make a pet bed. I save my scraps for a friend who makes the beds for a local shelter. So many gals have saved scraps that she says she doesn't know when she will have time to make the beds. LOL
