Good to know! I've seen where some people put a noodle between their machine and wall, or between cutting table and wall, to keep stuff from falling behind there. I can see cutting off a few inches to make the foot pedal stopper like you have.

I bought industrial strength hook and loop tape, and stuck the rough side to the bottom of my sewing foot. It has not moved since. It grabs the carpet and no damage. For smooth floor, I would clean the bottom of an unplugged sewing foot with Alcohol, then put dots of bathtub caulk on it, let them cure and that should stop it from sliding.
