when I make this type of quilt, I buy the flannel sheet rather than the fabric. I can usually get a better quality and a lot cheaper - one blanket works for several quilts. I find when they are given to kids, they can be a bit easier to throw in the wash repeatedly.

This really is such a great resource, and members are so generous with their friendship, knowledge and ideas. welcome and many happy days here (My only problem is I spend too much time here instead of working on my projects :)
