That's interesting. I was expecting something that holds all spools vertically. I use an old dritz thread stand with my embroidery machine-the regular spool pin doesn't seem to to work well for the threads I use. I wonder if a stand like this would be better? I had to modify mine quite a bit to get it to work right.

Thanks for the link. I never thought about the extra twisting of the thread if pulling from the spool or cone in a way it wasn't meant to be pulled from. That ribbon demonstrates it beautifully. Definitely something to think about. I'll remember this!

I have this stand and recommend it over any stand I have used.

I have this stand, too, but I didn't realize I could use it with bobbins. Thanks for posting.
