Default Quilt of Valour Free Pattern (For real this time!)

I double checked and downloaded it myself, so I know there are no surprises this time. This is truly a free pattern for a Quilt of Valour and it's quite nice and made with the "Eight at a time" HST technique.

Here is the link to the download.....Quilt of Valour pattern

Any quilt can be a QoV. Just make it in patriotic colors suitable to your country. (Are there any similar organizations in other countries?)

In regard to "any quilt can be a QoV". The Quilt of Valor organization does have specific requirements for quilts that are given to veterans, designated as "Quilt of Valor". They have a website that spells it out.

Thank you for the pattern information. It is something simple I can do for a charity quilt.

There are free patters for making quilts of valor on their website: qovf.org
It's a great organization and there is a ton of interesting information there also.

Nice site and just got a recipe for granola, after I got the quilt pattern. A young veteran passed last December and will make this for his widow and young daughter.
Thank you for the link.

Yes, IceLeopard....We have this organization in Canada as well.

My Mom's best friend's husband, who is 100 years old and has been in 3 wars, (1st, 2nd and Korean), just received one and he was moved to tears.
