That Spartan has been listed several times - I have not seen it hit the reserve price yet and it has been bid up over $55. I live here too and have given up on bidding anything here. Reserves are too high.

Spartan has a drop in bobbin - no case needed.
I have one and it is a nice little machine. No light - no big deal.
