    Great tips. I have found tho, that on wood sap, rubbing alcohol works very well and then wash with soapy water. As for the soot and smoke, mixing baking soda with the cornstarch, helps with the odor, and with many of the protein stains, Oxyclean works really well. Just test a spot on something with color. Stains of all kind are hard to deal with so these are excellent to try. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks so much. I have pencil marks on a quilt that I am making. Dumb me!!! I will sure give those suggestions a try.
