I am trying to make a quilt in a hurry for a wedding present
and the fabric really needs to be in big 12" or more blocks or
strips to see the fabric the bride chose. Any suggestions ? The back
of it will be signed by the guests in Hawaii at the
wedding. It sure should be a keeper if I do it right.

I was just on Joann Fabrics website. There is a quilt that has a 12 1/2" block that finishes at 12" and the strips are 4" wide. Sounds like you mean something like this. I think it was called Rambling Rose.

Also- www.quiltville.com. My favorite site for strip quilt ideas!

I am making a Turning Twenty quilt for a friend and then I will make me one. The blocks are huge (16") I think. Fun to do and really quick to do. In Hawaiian fabrics it is wonderful! Let us know what you deside to do.

Turning 20 may be the answer and I can have the signatures on it
there as well.

Great ideas from my great quilt friends!
Thanks

OOPS I need to correct myself. "Turning 20 Again" It is a much nicer block. Hope this helps!
