    Talking This stuff is terrific!!!!

One thing I have had problems with is my hands and fingers drying out from working with all the fabric and hand quilting. Well, there is a new product that has just been advertised "Vaseline Spray & Go". I bought it on Saturday morning and every time I washed my hands over the weekend, I just sprayed a little on each hand and rubbed it in...no residue, can work with the quilt right away and it is WONDERFUL...I can't believe how much better my poor hands look this morning. Smooth, finger tips getting softer and I love it....just wanted to share.

Thank You. I have the same problem with my hands. Glad to hear about something that works. Will keep a look out for it.

Thanks for sharing this info. I thought it was me that seemed to have drier hands when I quilt.

Another good method for chapped hands--apply generous amount of vasolene to hands and put on your white gloves when you go to bed. Hands will heal overnight!

Try corn huskers lotion. It is inexpensive, works great, is kind of slimy when it goes on but it dries and it works great on cracked hands and feet. My Dad was a dairy farmer and used this for his cracked hands and it worked so I keep some in my house now for when winter does its duty to crack around my finger tips.

Two other things that work and won't stain the fabric are Udder Cream and Bag Balm.

Thanks for sharing. I saw it advertised on tv today - first time I'd ever heard of it. I'm going to get some of it next time I go shopping.

I have never heard of this. I work in a multiple disability classroom. We wash our hands constantly and practically bathe in hand sanitizer. In the winter we always have at least 2 kids with snotty noses. My hands crack and bleed. I will have to look for some.

Oooh, that's good to hear!! I'm getting this product in the mail in a few days in a sampler program I am a part of, and now I'm excited to try it. I need something for my dry legs and it seems like the spray will be so convenient! How does it smell?

(Also - I wholeheartedly second the recommendation for the Working Hands product. My husband is an airplane mechanic and his fingers got so cracked and painful this winter, he could barely hold his fork to eat. I heard about this stuff, looked it up, found it at Ace Hardware in the paint section, and it was amazing for his hands/fingers!) You can read the reviews on amazon, too. Here to, plus another name I won't mention on the board- not vulgar, just tacky, but this is truly our only place to shop in my town, one groc. store and one dept. store, so we are held captive. Plus they took the fab. dept. out when they remodeled about 3 yrs ago, so we must drive 85 miles or more to purchase fab. Oh well such is life in this modern age we live in.
