After I bought mine I tried putting the eraser end on the ripper end and was disappointed that it didn't fit. Maybe they don't want us poking ourselves with the ripper while using the rubber end. Someone told me she used tape to put hers on. "Only problem I have is with the top, you lay it down and poof, it goes under something and I can't find it and spend too much time looking for it. I bought one of these and love it but realized it is the same as a pencil eraser. I was at the Dollar General store and saw a huge eraser. It is about 2" by 4". I bought one and it works beautifully.

I am making a Hidden Wells quilt. I put it away way too long. When I sewed the last 4 strip panels, I used a different 1/4" foot (both made for my Brothers' machine) and the second foot made a larger seam. Didn't realize it until I sewed all 4 pieces (9 strips each). I had to rip all of the seams in order to start over. I pressed the strips to get them back to a straight strip (they had stretched when ripped). I went over all seams with the eraser and it was amazing done pressed and ready to resew.
