Thread snips
Margie-these are my personal favourites for snipping thread instead of using a seam ripper. The curved blades are also great for getting in close to snip the fabric threads that sometimes come up when machine appliquéing. The are also easy on the hands to operate with the squeeze action.

My LQS carries them for the ladies with embroidery machines. I thought she said she got them in the U.S. but the import company on the package says Canada. I don't know what other stores may carry them. The name of them is INFINITI and the bottom says H.A.KIDD and company limited. The side of the package reads...Tweezers with micro serrated blades ...11.4 cm/4 1/2"
ps. There is a website on the back www.hakidd.com

Not sure of the brands, so I don't know the comparative quality of each
Bobbin central has them - http://www.bobbincentral.com/accesso...squeezers.html. - $7
I've seen them at Michaels
I use the famore brand, and they will recondition for the price of shipping. They're a favourite at the long arm studio where I bought my machine. Jamie Wallen uses and sells them.

When I took a class from Bonnie Hunter, she sold them with a magnet "home" for them that you can wear on your shirt. VERY handy. It was actually two magnets, one for inside and one for outside of your shirt so you don't have to pin it.
Email her at [email protected]. I don't think they are listed in her book store but I bet she's got them as I saw one on her top in a recent quiltville post. Cost was $12.00 and worth every penny. Now my snips are never hidden under parts of my piecing when I need them.
