I did this a few weeks ago and thought the same thing as many of the commenters in this link. Way not divisified for today's world where folk seem to love labels. BUT the producer says:

When we analyze survey results we are hoping to identify trends that could introduce more people to this community. In the end we will present this information to the American Quilting Association with recommendations and implementation."

you can't identify new and trending without including the new and treading folks

This survey seems typical of college students that don't know a thing about what they are talking about. They'd learn more by picking up a needle and thread in my opinion.
