Equivalent to Janome Travelmate 4612?
My child just learned to sew and do quilting in a class with a Janome Travelmate 4612.
Any suggestions on equivalent models available today?
(we are trying to avoid overly complicated, highly computerized models with speaking voices and such).
Thank you for any suggestions for a new quilter.

Janome & Babylock have similar looking mechanical machines. Janome also make Elna & Necchi, you might find the same model with a different brand name on them.
Tne Necchi Travelmate, tm8 if a great little sturdy machine, same as the Janome Jem Gold, I started my grandchildren on that machine & use it for travel for me. But the Janome 4612 she is using has more features.
Maybe look at Ebay for the janome she is using.
Because of Covid & the shutdown dealers are now allowed to ship many models, I suggest looking at Moore's online, or my Babylock dealer, sew412.com. Or dealers that are open in your area. Your local dealers might be more fun, then your child could look & try also. I'm a huge fan of Janome, Brother & Babylock>
