pot holder with embroidery?
Can I make a pot holder w/embroidery on it? I was afraid the thread might melt if something hot is used on it.

I've made a few and have had no problems with them. I use them all the time.

I have machine embroidered many potholders and towels and used them without a problem, no melting from hot pots at all.

Yes, machine embroidery using polyester thread. We are doing a pot holder exchange in our guild and I thought it would be fun to embroider on one.
Thank you all, I will post pics of whatever I end up making.

It's ery interesting. I was just starting to get involved in embroidery and didn't know about such opportunities. I will gladly look at the photo and take advices if you have anything to say.
