Brother Innovis NQ1600E anyone have or tried this one?

I'm doing some research and tried the Brother Innovis NQ1600E today. Great little machine. Really liked the stitch quality. Seems to be very user friendly for me as a beginner. I have a dealer within in 10 minutes of me which is a plus and the sales lady (I've worked with before) will give me lessons if I want them.

I can't find a lot of "user" reviews on line; however, the 6 I did find were very favorable. Can't find pricing on line to compare. But the fact that they are nearby makes a huge difference to me. They were showing a retail price of $2499 with a sale price of $1999. However, the lady said she could get the price down to $1,699.

Brother makes excellent machines. I have a 2002D Brother embroidery/sewing machine I've have for 15 or 16 years and it still works beautifully!

The support from the local dealer is important. Does this machine offer the features you want in a machine? It does have a nice hoop size. Have you done machine EMB? Post here if you have questions or need help.

I seldom hear of any issues with machines from the customers at the LQS. Personally, no problems with my machines in 6 years.

Good luck and have fun!

I just purchased the 1600e myself. So far I am really enjoying it. I have been embroidering for years. Previously I was using the Pfaff 7570. I love my Pfaff which sew and embroiders but the hoop size was limiting. I like the bigger hoop I got with the 1600e. I got mine for $1599.00.

if you focus is on embroidery features, you can't go wrong with Brother.
get the one that packs the most features into your budget.

if you can afford to, don't buy what you need now.
buy a model that has more than you need.
that will enable you to grow into it as your skills and interests expand. :)

There’s a Facebook group for owners of Brother 1400 & 1600 machines ... you could post your question there as well. I’m early in my machine search and I’ve found this FB group to have good info.

I have the Brother NQ1400e which is the precursor to the 1600e. I've been using it extensively for over 3 years and I paid $1999 (canadian) for it at that time. I've embroidered almost anything you can possibly imagine with my machine and have never been unhappy. I had to learn some stuff about threads and bobbins of course but I've had a blast with my machine. I say go for it. I don't think you'll regret it. I also like having a separate embroidery machine from my sewing machine so I can have two things happening at the same time. The dealers will tell you that you need to buy expensive thread for the machine to work properly. I have all the thread colours from ThreadArt, super cheap for us in Canada, and I stopped having problems when I loaded the thread on a stand and leave the spool vertical. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for all the comments. I did purchase the 1600e and love it. So far I've only embroidered a bag I made for my Aunt to use on her walker, a saying I framed for my DGD and a small bag/purse I'm working on for me. Really pleased with this machine. I'll try to get pictures posted. Brother machines seem to be easy to use and learn. Unfortunately, right now I have more "ideas" than "time". Haha.

May i ask where you were able to purchase your 1600e at for that price? I haven't been able to find one at that price.

My apologies for the delay in responding. I had femoral bypass surgery on my leg on 1/7/20 and just now getting back to my computer and the QB. I'm not sure where you are located but I'm in North Carolina and purchased mine from a local store. Are you near NC?
