Which stabilizer to use
Which stabilizer would you recommend I use to embroider a 12000 stitch design on a medium wt tee shirt? I would like the final design to drape as nicely as possible. I am planning to embroider on a skirted tee, sort of a tunic. Thanks

I did a test on an old tee shirt using medium wt cutaway and it stitched out nicely but a bit stiffer thanks I would like. The design measures about 4 x7. I am hoping to use a softer stabilizer.

I would use a cut away and hoop the item. Add a layer of water solvable topping and then stitch out the design. The WSS topping prevents the stitches from sinking into the material.
when finished cut the cut away from the back. Leave about 1/2 inch. Iron a thin fusible like no show mesh or sheer magic over the stitched design ( on the back).
It will keep the threads from being scratchy.

Two concepts from our LQS that I will share with you.
First one is fuse if you can fuse. Second one is if you wear it, don't tear it (meaning tear-away stabilizer).
More tips here.
