I have the Brother 1500. It's sews great. If you have a problem with the auto thread cutter causing the needle to come unthreaded every time you use it, don't thread but one of the three holes before going into the tension threading. I about went nuts trying to figure that out. The Brother dealer close to me didn't know enough about the 1500 to help at all. A poster here told me the solution! And be sure the bobbin engage button is full disengaged when sewing. That was another pull my hair out situation. LOL I would love to see pictures of your set up. I may want to get a frame for my Brother too.

The dealer told me to thread through the top and botton holes of the three hole quide and it works for me. If you use the thread cutter, keep your fingers away from the needle. Ask me how I know this. Ouch!!!!

The needle has to be kept in the needle down position to use the thread cutter to keep it from messing up or breaking. The machine takes a lot of oiling so don't forget that.

I had my Brother 1500 on a Superquilter Proflex frame and it worked great. I never had a problem with it, a few minor operator errors, but nothing else. I am now using it to piece and my new FQ should be here on Sat. You will love the machine, it sews beautifully.

woohoo...thank you ladies...it is here. and boy it looks good. the toughest part was trying to put the quilt on it hahaha. The video that came with it was pretty confusing. considering neither me nor my husband have layed our hands on a frame before lol... and boy oh boy, the machine is HEAVY compared to my brother 6000cs. I will take pictures as soon as I can tomorrow. (got to watch Fringe tonight hahaha)
