tearing fabric saves you money and fabric! you are getting a straight grain on both ends if fabric is always torn. professionals tear the fabric, unless it is a knit or texture that won't tear.

Helloooooo, I have been fan of Eleanor Burns since the early 1990's! Although, some may find her a bit corny...Her books are good. I have them all. I have met her at National and visited her shop in Puduka (sic). She has high quality products and fabric. I have never failed to learn something new from her videos and books, in the States, she also have a TV program and has been on for years. Her tips and tricks will save hours of time and fun to boot. Regards.

MTM5109 - Totally agree, she's amazing. I've ripped all the videos available at her Theatre and have found a few more series as well. And have just ordered three of her books!

Love Eleanor Burns. I have several of her books. Visited her shop in Paducah and her tent show. Fabric was very nice. She was a riot. She is very down to earth. I made her double irish chain quilt, it was very easy.
