Default “Quilting Bee” cutting mat?

Has anyone purchased the “Quilting Bee” cutting mat and if so, how do you like it?

i saw that it has a 10 yr warranty and no odor. Most mats have a one year warranty.

Thanks in advance.

had to look it up https://www.amazon.com/Quilting-Bee-...ting+mat&psc=1
i have one that looks similar to that. i don't have any negatives, but still prefer my Olfa. I've had the Olfa over 6 years and it still works well for me. i would say, though, that i'm a low volume cutter.

I wonder what the difference is between that one and something like Olfa? I can't tell by the link. I just bought a Quilters Select and like it a lot.

I have several Olfa ones also. They look very similar to the Quilting Bee brand. Have never had an issue with them. Thought the price on the 24 x36 seemed high.

It seems to be about twice as much as walmart sells the Olfa for. I have one yellow side and other is light green. The quilting bee colors would not be very easy for me to see.

I began quilting a couple of years ago; I started with a rag quilt for my then 4-year-old daughter. I bought, on Amazon, a small (12X18) Quilting Bee cutting mat that also included a Quilting Bee rotary cutter -at a great price, I might add. I figured that if quilting didn't suit me, I would not have a large investment. Well, I am still quilting. I now own an Omnigrid 18X24 cutting mat.I didn't choose it because of the brand; I chose it because it was on sale. And I use both regularly. By the way, the Quilting Bee rotary cutter is every bit as good as the better known ones, too.

My Olfa was purchased way back when I started quilting 1997, and is still going strong!

If it truly doesn't smell it's worth the money. I returned several mats before I found one I could tolerate. It's by Gingher, like the scissors. I've had several years and it is still in good shape - but it has not seen very heavy use. That said, it is holding up way better than the Fiskars mat that I have.

Thanks for the info on the Quilting Bee! I stopped at Joann’s with a coupon and was going to get the
Olfa but the smell was really overpowering on the rack. I saw the Quilting Bee was made in USA and googled it, saw it was in the top 5 reviews and just wondered about opinions on this site. I may just buy a smaller one and try it.
