You can do it! I did a large one once in 2 weeks because I knew I'd see the recipient then. It involved a lot of cutting because it was all scraps so no strip cutting involved. And I never quilted past 9pm.
So get going!!

Several times I have gift-wrapped an unfinished project, and let the honored person have the fun of opening it at the right date, and then retrieved the project to finish--especially a very difficult sweater, several years ago. piecefully, the old one
