There's also the Spiral Eye needles. I have several, but I've never used them for quilting.

My friend has some and she loves hers. She says they do not catch.

I got them at Joanns. They are similar to the spiral eye, but much less expensive. I just use them to bury threads, not sew or quilt.

Thanks, I may try a set. They seem to work good on regular sewing during the infomercial, but then everything works on infomercials. They never say how the needles work on quilting. The older I get, the more my time is spent threading my needle when I'm doing hand-quilting.Whatever cuts down on that is good for my eyes and my patience.
