I have the large slidelock ruler & love it. I use it for all lengths of fabric & it works well. I broke my left wrist years ago & it is still weak, the slidelock holds the fabric quite well with minimal pressure.

I watched the video. Very nice ruler system. I think the price is very reasonable compared to other cutting systems like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22cZDrCnk20

I use these and love them. I do not have the glow edge and they are not rulers but just hold the fabric in place while cutting.

edit: I googled glow edge ruler and found a number of sites. My fave rulers are glow edge, but they are the Quilter's Slidelock rulers with wood handle on top and retractable grippers.

I am so tired of buying rulers I could scream! Seriously, I bet I use about 3 out of all that I have. I forget I have them. And that goes double for books. I got rid of 75% of mine b/c I simply don't read them anymore. I get so much from the internet.
But please don't think I'm spoil sport. I'm just tired of all the things I forget about or don't use. It's just me.

The video was really helpful. Now I understand how a 10" ruler could help cutting 9" squares! Unfortunately, now I am lusting over these rulers........
