I like the double slice layer cake pattern from MSQ. Yes, it is cut but then reassembled and each section is still large enough to see the beauty of the fabric. It is also fast. I finished a top in 1/2 day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxC-0T5lXw4

Yes, that's true, but she cuts up the squares most of the time and usually wastes some of it.

Crafty Gemini is doing a free one right now. The blocks are 10, only have two seams but do need a little squaring off when finished. Its cute, it ends up having 3 pieces to a square. She's on you tube.

Default 10 inch squares

Does anyone have a pattern on how to use the pre-cut 10 inch squares, without having to cut them down to a smaller size? I would love to have an easy pattern.

Have you checked Moda Bake Shops free patterns for layer cake quilts or search Pinterest? I’m sure you’d find something there .

Depends on the size you want your finished quilt...but if you take a " block" pattern meant for using 5" squares ( lots on Missouri quilt you tube tutes), you would then have a very large block that could serve as a quilt's center for full sized one, or the entire quilt if doing lap or throw size.

Ten-minute block: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbTHlGGKMPM

It's not totally without waste, but at least you can start right in without cutting the squares down.

Missouri Star Quilt Co. has a lot of free tutorials on patterns using 10" squares. Good luck and let us know what pattern you decide on. Also, on Pinterest you can type in patterns made with 10" squares and you will see a lot of ideas.
