Before making a lot of these check for your supply of tissues since the dimensions of various companies tissues appear to vary. Find a set of dimensions that work for you. I found that I prefer to make the length a little more to then overlap the opening by 1/4 " or so to keep the tissues hidden when closed. I purchased the pattern for the "little shirts" and their dimensions were way too big for the tissues I have. After a few attempts I now have a workable set of dimensions.

I see that you are from Long Island. Probably can't get much where you are from for $1.50 but in IN, where there are lots of rural areas, it's a different story---people are living on much less money, generally. Make sure you price things based on where you are.

That's true. My house costs what a NYC or LI bathroom costs.

Current count------------153 completed. Maybe 30 or so more pieces cut.
A friend asked me to donate to a benefit and since its before Christmas I'm going to ask her if a couple "bakers dozen" bunches of tissue holders with tissues would be suitable. I'm thinking with everyone looking for stocking stuffers or small gifts for coworkers or such, the tissue holders might be good.

My problem now is when I look at anything in my sewing room, the first thing that comes to my mind is what a great tissue holder that would make and wonder if there's a matching scrap for the lining.

BTW, how much are you guys paying for tissue packets? I paid 2.49 for 8 at CVS and 2.43 for 8 at Wally World (Kleenex brand!) That's just a hair over 30 cents each, but adds up when you need 30 or so at one time.

I am like you, GrannieAnnie -- I am putting together match-ups from everything I see. My goal is 100 of these to be given to our pre-school at church. They are making up some kind of appreciation gift bags for the staff. They are fun to sew and go so fast.
